Frequently Asked Questions

Can beginners do No-Gi BJJ?

Yes! No-Gi BJJ is beginner-friendly, and many students start their training without ever using a Gi. It focuses on body control, leverage, and technique rather than grips, making it accessible to those new to grappling.

Many practitioners prefer No-Gi because it is faster-paced, more applicable to real-world self-defense, and closely aligned with MMA. It also requires quicker reactions and dynamic movement, making it an exciting and high-energy form of Jiu-Jitsu.

Both have their challenges, but No-Gi is often considered harder due to its faster pace and lack of grips. Without the Gi to slow opponents down, practitioners must rely on speed, athleticism, and technical precision to control and submit their opponents.
